How we verify every listing
Every venue on HappyMap is hand-curated. Here's how we keep the data honest.
We start with a manual visit
Every venue is added by hand by someone who has either been there in person or spoken with the venue directly. No bulk imports, no scraped junk listings.
Re-verified at least monthly
We re-check happy-hour times, prices, and menu items at least once a month. Every venue page shows when it was last verified — so you know the data isn't three years stale.
Venue owners can claim and update their listing
Run a venue in the Bow Valley? Claim your listing and update your hours, prices, and deals directly. We add a “Verified by venue” badge so visitors know the info comes from you.
Mistakes get fixed fast
Every venue page has a “Report incorrect info” link. We review every report within 48 hours and update the listing or follow up directly with the venue.
Who runs this
A small team, not an aggregator
HappyMap is independently built and operated. We're not Yelp, we're not owned by a hotel chain, and we don't run sponsored content disguised as recommendations. If a listing is marked “Featured,” that's a paid placement and it's clearly labelled — but the underlying happy-hour data is the same as every other listing.

- How often is the data updated?
- Every venue is re-verified at least once a month. Each venue page shows when its data was last checked. Venue owners who claim their listing can update happy hour times, prices, and items in real time.
- How do you verify venues?

- Right now, the Bow Valley region of Alberta — Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise. We're planning to expand to other Canadian mountain towns next.
